For those who may not have a chance to obtain a copy of the fortnightly publication of Catholic News, you may like to browse their newly revamped website for the latest news articles at Catholic News (since 1935). In addition, a “What’s On” bogsite was created to give readers the various activities that are happening in the Archdiocese of Singapore. Here’s the story.
“What’s On” goes online By Daniel Tay
SINGAPORE – In every issue of CatholicNews, there is a section called “What’s On” where Catholic individuals and organizations can place information about their upcoming activities. This section has long been a source of information for details about courses, seminars, workshops, talks, retreats, Masses, anniversaries, etc.
On Mar 27, Catholic News took the “What’s On” section online with its new “What’s On” blog, catering to the increasing number of Catholics who use the Internet primarily as a source of information and news.
The “What’s On” blog can be found at http://catholicevents.wordpress.com.
This blog removes the limitation on space that Catholic individuals and organizations have had with the printed version. In addition, Catholics in Singapore can now share information using colour, photographs, images, audio recordings, and even videos to attract readers to their activities.
This information can be submitted online at http://catholicevents.wordpress.com/submit-an-event.
Internet-savvy readers may also subscribe to our RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feed to receive the latest news on events taking place in the diocese. Catholic webmasters and blog owners are also invited to place this feed on their Catholic websites and blogs.

Hi ordinary guy,
Now that the archdiocesan website (http://catholic.sg) has been revamped and is being maintained by a webmaster, we will be transferring the information on the events over and the What’s On blog will soon be removed.
Please link to the archdiocesan website instead (http://catholic.sg/webevent_fulldetails.php). Unfortunately it does not have a feed yet, but perhaps a suggestion can be made to the webmaster.
God bless,
Daniel
